Are paints and varnishes made in France?

Our paints, toy-standard varnishes and food-safe varnishes are manufactured in France, while our aerosol paints and varnishes are made in Germany.

Where does the wood for toys and games come from?

The wood used to make all the wooden toys and games on this site comes from a small family sawmill in La Guillermie in the Bourbonnais mountains (03 - Allier).

What's the difference between toy and food-grade varnishes?

Toy-standard varnish is for use on wooden toys and games intended for children. It is manufactured to European standard EN 71-3. It is non-toxic and safe for children who might put the varnished toy in their mouths. Food-safe varnish is to be applied to objects made of wood or its derivatives intended to come into direct contact with food, such as fruit bowls or wooden cheese boards. This varnish complies with REACH Regulation (EC) n° 1907/2006 - n° 453/2010). Please note that this varnish does not meet the EN71-3 toy standard.
