Technical data - Waterborne acrylic paint

A water-based paint range that respects our environment, since 90% of solvents have been replaced by water. From gloss to matte, from varnish to primer, a new range of fast-drying quality. Suitable for interior and exterior use. Suitable for painting kitchens, bathrooms, garden accessories or furniture, children's furniture and toys etc. on wood, cardboard, metal, fabric, plastic, glass and ceramic surfaces. Also suitable for use on polystyrene. Painted surfaces can be cleaned with washing-up liquid. From a glazed effect to full coverage... the choice is yours!

Coverage (350 ml):

  • Primer: approx. 0.8 - 1.0 m²
  • Shades: approx. 0.8 - 1.2 m²
  • Varnish: approx. 1.0 - 2.0 m²

Drying (at 20°C, 50% relative humidity):

  • Dust dry: after 15-20 minutes
  • Touch-dry: after 2 hours
  • Recoatable / through-dry: after 24 hours

Complete and final drying is achieved after 5 days. During this time, the painted object should be protected from humidity. Drying time depends on ambient temperature, humidity and application.

Waste treatment and storage

Waste disposal Empty containers should be recycled. Non-empty containers should follow a specific waste treatment circuit.
Shelf life / Storage 4 years under appropriate storage conditions (=10°-25°C, max. 60% relative humidity)
Protection Protect from frost!
Container Maximum net volume 400 ml (filled with 350 ml paint)

Environment and regulations

Respect for the environment: MOTIP DUPLI products are 100% free of heavy metals and use propellants guaranteed HCFC-free since 1977. Caps and packaging are made from recycled materials.

Waste treatment: Only empty aerosols should be recycled. Non-empty containers should be taken to a specific collection center.

Regulatory labelling: All MOTIP DUPLI products comply with the labelling provisions of Directive 1999/45/EG. All aerosols comply with TRGS 200 and TRG 300 as well as Directive 75/324/EWG in its current variation.

Instructions for use

Substrate preparation

  • Substrate must be clean, dry and absolutely grease-free
  • Remove pieces of old paint
  • Despite a light spray mist, protect the area to be painted
  • First apply AQUA primer. Allow to dry (minimum 2 hours)
  • Prime hard plastics with plastic primer

Paint application

  • Shake for at least 2 to 3 min. before use, then spray test
  • Apply thin coats at a distance of approx. 25 cm from the substrate
  • Do not apply at ambient temperatures below 15°C, to ensure trouble-free drying
